MAYA GOREN BAR

Maya is the General Manager at Israel Canada Tech Investments.

She loves working with great entrepreneurs to help them realize their dreams, and gets excited by founders who apply technology to overlooked and outdated industries.

Maya started her career at 81 (an elite technological unit of the IDF Intelligence Corps) and at MM (the special operational unit of the Intelligence Corps) where she served for 5 years.

Before rejoining the VC world at her current position, Maya was the Head of EMEA Business Development at Here Technologies. During her tenure there she led enterprise sales and strategic partnerships and was responsible for the go-to-market strategy to drive business plans for emerging products and features while consistently focusing on product improvement.

Prior to Here Technologies, Maya spent 6 years in the VC world; she joined TLVP at the inception of Fund 1 in 2015. There she met with entrepreneurs, conducted due diligence, researched potential investments, and supported portfolio companies with Value Creation and strategic business development activities.

Previously, Maya was a Director of Business Development at Singtel Innov8, a corporate Venture Capital fund, where she established and fostered ongoing relationships with leaders from VCs, enterprises, and other key leaders in the Israeli startup community. She also scouted for potential investment leads and business use-cases for the enterprise division.

Maya holds a B.A. in Economics from the Interdisciplinary University and is a board member of the MM - The Center Alumni Association,

In her free time, Maya enjoys speaking Spanish and participating in Triathlon competitions.
